Why is wax sticking to my diamonds?
If you notice wax clinging to your diamonds, try using lighter pressure when picking them up. You can also try picking up the diamonds from the side or giving your stylus a gentle twist as you place them onto the canvas.
Why won’t my pen pick up the diamonds?
Check if you’ve removed the plastic film from both sides of the wax. The stylus needs direct contact with the wax to pick up the diamonds properly.
What can I do with leftover diamonds?
Get creative! Many crafters use leftover pieces to decorate things like coasters, phone cases, hair clips, mirrors, and even greeting cards or scrapbooks. Our adhesive stick works great for applying diamonds to other surfaces.
How do I flatten the canvas before beginning?
Simply roll the canvas in the opposite direction and hold it gently for about 30 seconds. Our fabric is designed to resist wrinkles and creases, making it easy to work with right out of the box.
What if a small section of the canvas isn’t sticky?
You can apply a small amount of our adhesive solution to that area. Use a 3mm layer, allow it to dry until clear, then continue placing your diamonds.
Will the diamonds fall off over time?
Not under normal conditions. To secure them further, roll a clean bottle or rolling pin over your finished piece to press them firmly into place. For specialty diamonds, you can use your fingers to gently press them down.
How do I clean off extra adhesive from the canvas?
A soft baby wipe works well for gently removing any adhesive residue without damaging your canvas or diamonds.
Do I need to seal my finished project?
No sealing is required! Our kits are made with high-quality components that don’t need extra coating. Applying sealants may dull the sparkle and affect the look of your finished piece. Just roll over the finished surface to ensure everything is secure.
Should I frame my project with glass?
That’s entirely up to you. Glass isn’t needed and may reduce the sparkle due to reflections. Many crafters prefer to frame without it for the best visual effect.
Can I wash decorated pillowcases?
Our pillowcases are for decorative use, but if they get dirty, you can hand wash them inside out with cool water and mild soap. Lay flat to dry in a shaded area. Avoid machine washing or dry cleaning.
Can I roll up my completed artwork?
Yes! We recommend rolling the artwork with the diamond side facing inwards. Store it in the original box to keep it protected until you’re ready to display or frame it.
Should I roll the canvas with the diamonds on the inside or outside?
Roll it with the diamonds facing inward to prevent damage or loss.
My wax has hardened—what can I do?
Warm the wax slightly by kneading it between clean fingers for about 30 seconds. It should soften and be ready to use again. If it remains too hard, feel free to reach out for support.
Where should I start on the canvas?
For right-handed users, begin in the bottom right corner; for left-handed users, start from the bottom left. Work in sections and peel back the protective film a bit at a time. Avoid resting your hand on sticky areas to keep them clean and effective.
How do I get the diamonds to sit the right way up?
Gently shake your tray side to side. The diamonds will naturally align with the flat side down and the shiny side up. Don’t overfill the tray—less is more!
What if I’m missing a diamond color?
Please send us your kit number, design name, and the missing color’s code along with your Order number. We’ll help you the replacement diamonds as soon as possible.
Will the canvas fray if I trim it?
Our canvases have pre-treated edges to prevent fraying. If you need to trim it for framing, just avoid tugging on the edges.
How can I find the list of diamond colors in my kit?
Email us your kit number and design name along with your order number, and we’ll send you the full list of colors included in your set.
